About

Operational leverage, right-sized for SMBs.

We started Athena Automation because we kept seeing the same pattern in growing businesses: more tools, less efficiency.

After years of helping businesses implement software, we kept seeing the same pattern: companies were buying more tools but getting less efficiency. Sales teams were buried in CRM updates. Operations staff were copy-pasting data between systems. The owners were still invoicing at midnight.

The problem was not the tools. It was that no one had connected them, and no one had built the automations that would make them actually work together.

We founded Athena Automation to solve that. Our mission is simple: give small and mid-size businesses access to the same operational leverage that Fortune 500 companies have — without the enterprise price tag, the twelve-month implementation, or the army of consultants.

We are based in San Francisco and work with growth-stage businesses across the United States. We do not sell software and walk away. We become your automation partner, building and maintaining systems that compound in value as your business grows.

How we operate

Four principles we hold to.

  • One partner, not three vendors.

Strategy, build, and maintenance under one roof. You have one accountable team, not a chain of handoffs.

  • Fixed-price scope before we build.

The ROI Roadmap lands before the work starts. You know the hours saved, the cost reduction, and the price.

  • Your team is never the QA team.

We build and test in a non-production environment. Nothing touches your live systems until you have approved it.

  • We stay after we ship.

Automations compound when they are maintained. We monitor performance, handle edge cases, and keep tuning workflows as your business evolves.

Honest take

What we do not take on.

We say no to projects regularly. It is what keeps the work we do accept moving at the pace we promise. A few situations where we will point you somewhere else:

  • Engagements that are really a single software recommendation in disguise.
  • Work that requires us to invent processes you have not yet figured out internally.
  • Enterprises looking for a multi-quarter rollout with a procurement track.
  • Anything that asks us to optimize a workflow we do not believe should exist.
