What is Athena Automation, in simple words?

Athena is a set of online “digital helpers.” These helpers—often called bots—log in to your everyday computer programs, click the buttons, read the screens, and type the data for you. They finish the boring chores while your team thinks up new ideas, talks to customers, or heads home on time.

How soon could we see a bot working in real life?
About a month.
  • Week 1 – We sit with you (online or in person) and list the slow, painful tasks.
  • Weeks 2–3 – Our team builds the first bot and shows it to you for a quick thumbs-up.
  • Week 4 – The bot goes live, and we keep an eye on it 24 × 7 for the first few days.

Many clients add more bots in the second month once they see the time they’re saving.

Is our company data protected?
Yes. We use the same security that banks rely on:
  • Every piece of data is scrambled (encrypted) while travelling and while stored.
  • Every click the bot makes is written to an unchangeable log, so you can always see who did what and when.
  • You decide exactly which person—or bot—can see which files, down to a single field if you want.
Will the bots take people’s jobs?
No. Bots clear away tasks, not people. Staff keep their jobs but spend time on problem-solving, customer calls, and ideas that make money—instead of on dull data entry. Many teams say morale goes up once the boring work is gone.
What kinds of jobs are perfect for these bots?
Anything you can describe with clear rules, such as “If the invoice line says ‘VAT’, copy it to column E.” Good examples are typing invoices, moving customer names from one system to another, or making the same report every morning.
What happens if the screen layout changes?
The bot notices the difference, shows you the spot, and offers a one-click fix. You don’t have to rewrite the whole routine—just point the bot to the new spot, and off it goes.
Do we need programmers to build these workflows?
No. You drag colourful blocks onto a canvas—“Send Email,” “Wait for Approval,” “Move File”—and fill in a few boxes. If you can make a PowerPoint slide, you can build a workflow.
How do we know if a step is stuck?
A live dashboard shows each step in green, yellow, or red. Click any colour to see what’s waiting, who’s responsible, and how long it’s been there.
Do we need data scientists on staff?
Not for the basics. Athena comes with ready-to-use prediction templates. You point them at your data and press “Train.” If you do have data scientists, they can plug in their own advanced models too.
Can it really read messy handwriting and low-quality scans?
Yes. It combines clever image cleaning with text recognition and language understanding. Even crumpled invoices and scribbled delivery notes are turned into clean data, ready for your system.
Where do the finished files and data go?
Wherever you want: a secure folder inside Athena, your SharePoint site, your ERP system, or even an email to a supplier. You choose during setup and can change it any time.
How does the hand-off to a real agent work?
The moment a question is too complex, or a VIP customer appears, the bot invites a live agent. All the chat history and customer details travel with the hand-off, so the agent starts with full context and no repeated questions.
What is an Industry Pack?
It’s a bundle of bots, rules, and dashboards already tuned for a particular field—like banking rules for loan checks or healthcare rules for patient records. You skip the long setup and go live faster.
Who is Athena Automation made for?

Any organization that spends lots of hours on repeat work. We have happy customers in banking, hospitals, online shops, call centres, factories, and even small family businesses. If people in your company say, “I’m stuck copying and pasting again,” Athena can help.

Will we have to stop using the software we already use?

Not at all. The bots sit on top of your existing tools. They can:

  • Sign in just like a human (great for older software).
  • Plug into modern apps that have built-in connections.
  • Move files in and out of shared folders if nothing else is available.
So you keep the systems your staff already know, and the bots act as the “glue” between them.
What kind of savings can we really expect?
Most customers earn back their first year’s bill in three to five months. For example:
  • A finance team cut invoice processing from three days to three hours and saved 800 staff hours a year.
  • A help-desk cut customer wait time from 90 minutes to under a minute and raised its satisfaction score by a full point.
Every company is different, but those numbers are typical.
What help do we get after we go live?
  • A named Success Coach who checks in regularly.
  • Live chat and email support around the clock.
  • Free “tune-ups” every quarter, where we spot slow steps and make the bots even faster.
Big enterprises can add a dedicated Slack or Teams channel and on-site visits.
Why are they better than a simple macro or script?
Macros work only inside one program. Our screen bots can flip between many programs—old ones, new ones, web pages, even green-screen terminals—just like a person does, but never gets tired or makes typos.
What does this service actually do?
It ties a string of tasks into one smooth path. Imagine hiring a new employee: HR collects forms, IT sets up a laptop, Finance adds the person to payroll. With Athena, the moment HR clicks “Hire,” every other step starts automatically and you can see progress on one screen.
What can the AI predict for us?
It can warn you when shoppers might leave your website, tell you how much stock to order for next month, or flag payments that look suspicious. You pick the question; the system turns your past data into a forecast.
How reliable are the predictions?
After a short learning period (often two weeks of data), most predictions land in the 90–95 percent correct range. The system keeps learning, so accuracy often climbs over time.
What if the bot is not sure about a field?
It highlights the doubtful word in yellow and sends the document to a human checker. Once the human fixes it, the bot remembers the correction and gets smarter next time.
Where can this bot talk with customers?
Your website chat bubble, your mobile app, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Slack, Microsoft Teams—you decide which channels to switch on.
How do we keep the bot’s answers up to date?
You open a simple text editor, change the wording or add a new answer, and click “Publish.” The update appears everywhere within seconds. No coding needed.
How quickly can we launch a Pack?
Because most of the heavy lifting is pre-built, many companies switch on a Pack in two to four weeks instead of several months.
Do the rules stay up to date when regulations change?
Yes. We track new laws and standards. When something changes, we send you an update notice and push the new rules to your bots so you remain compliant without extra effort.
